The book A sociopedagogical equity approach sensitive to EDI (equity, diversity, inclusion) to interest girls and boys in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) orientations. aims to promote STEM careers for three reasons: 1) Today's society needs scientists more than ever, with the COVID-19 pandemic and perhaps others to come, but also with advances in artificial intelligence and all the questions that arise in this field; 2) Girls and boys do not form homogeneous groups. All the reflections on intersectionality lead us to believe that in both the girls' and the boys' groups, there are discriminations that differ from one girl to another or from one boy to another according to appearance, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, past experiences in STEM fields, etc.; 3) Current reflections on the development of EDI programs (equity, diversity, inclusion) lead us to broaden the debate and collective reflections. Nevertheless, the situation of girls in various STEM fields is worrying, and it's important not to forget it and to take it into account. In the classroom, it's possible to do just that, without necessarily saying that it's girls who are particularly targeted, but by thinking of them in the knowledge that boys will also be reached by the proposals. The book is divided into five main sections: 1) Taking the affective dimension into account in STEM; 2) Taking the cognitive and metacognitive dimensions into account in STEM fields; 3) A recurring theme associated with the usefulness of these different fields; 4) A reflective-interactive practice for implementing change; 5) Short texts for training and self-training. Some experiments have been carried out; they are summarized with comments.
