La obra colectiva Perspectivas sociopedagógicas para la equidad de las mujeres Cuba-Quebec aborda el tema de la equidad de las mujeres cubanas y quebequenses desde diversas perspectivas sociopedagógicas. Estas reflexiones colectivas aspiran a un cambio social duradero. La equidad de las mujeres se aborda a través de nueve temas transversales: 1) el liderazgo de las mujeres; 2) las mujeres en la enseñanza superior y el mundo de la investigación; 3) sobre las mujeres en CTIM (ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería, matemáticas); 4) la conciliación de la vida familiar/laboral/personal y los cuidados informales; 5) la interseccionalidad en el trabajo y la violencia; 6) la influencia del COVID-19 en el trabajo de las mujeres; 7) los derechos de las mujeres y el mito de la igualdad en relación con la equidad, la diversidad y la inclusión (EDI); 8) las mujeres, la emigración y la inmigración; 9) el lenguaje inclusivo y la escritura inclusiva. Estos temas incluyen textos explicativos (51) y fichas didácticas (56) para su facilitación en distintos tipos de grupos. También hay disponibles unos sesenta videos para estimular la reflexión y el debate.

Elianis Páez Concepción is a Master's student in Hispanic Studies and a Spanish teacher at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. She holds a degree in English with French as a Second Foreign Language, and is a professor of English at the Language Center of the University of Holguín (Cuba). She is a member of the Canadian Studies Chair at the University of Holguín and of the organizing committee of the Conference on Foreign Languages, Communication and Culture (WEFLA) and the International Seminar on Canadian Studies (SECAN). She is also a member of organizations such as the Association of Cuban Pedagogues (APC), TESOL and AATSP. Her research interests include translatology, gender studies, language teaching and intercultural studies. She is a translator and interpreter.
Leidiedis Góngora Cruz holds a degree in History from the University of Oriente (Cuba) and a Masters in Cuban History and Culture from the University of Holguín (Cuba). She also holds a doctorate in philosophy. She is a lecturer in the Department of History at the University of Holguín and collaborates with the Center for the Study of Culture and Identity. She specializes in women's issues and Cuban thought.
Louise Lafortune, Ph.D. (Sciences de l'éducation, enseignement des mathématiques), is Professor Emeritus and Associate of the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) and Visiting Professor at the University of Holguín (Uhol, Cuba). She is co-founder of AFFESTIM (Association de la francophonie à propos des femmes en sciences, technologies, ingénierie et mathématiques) and has been a member of its Board of Directors since its foundation in 2003. Her research interests include the situation of women, the affective dimension of learning, sociopedagogical equity and intercultural pedagogy, and the situation of women in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). In particular, she is co-author of Enfoque de género para lograr más equidad (2019), Manifeste à propos des femmes en STIM (2022) and Femmes en situations professionnelles: expériences cubaines et canadiennes (2022). Marybexy Calcerrada Gutiérrez holds a degree in psychology, a master's in gender studies and a doctorate in philosophy. She is a full professor at the University of Holguín (Cuba). She has coordinated projects and working groups in Cuba and internationally to address social equity and inequalities between different identity groups. She has authored and co-authored several articles in scientific journals and book chapters. She has served on the boards of scientific teams at various levels. She has also been an international consultant for the evaluation of violence against women and girls, and has conducted several studies on human behavior from a gender perspective.
Marie-Cécile Guillot has been a professor of French as a second language at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) since 2001. She has held a number of management positions: Director of French as a Second Language Programs, Director of the Language School, General Secretary of the Teachers' Union and Vice-Dean of Studies in the Faculty of Communication. Her experience and expertise cover a wide range of fields: intercultural twinning, international exchanges, teaching writing to adults and women's leadership in academia.
Marlène Clisson is a professor working on inclusive education at the École de technologie supérieure de Montréal. She is also active in the Chaire pour les femmes en sciences et en génie au Québec, which promotes women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics [STEM].
Noëlle Sorin was a university professor of education for many years, specializing in teacher training for primary and secondary schools. Her specialty was French didactics, i.e. the theories and methods of teaching French to future teachers. Her passion for the French language naturally led her to take an interest first in the feminization of texts and discourse, and then in inclusive language.
Rosabel Francisca Medina Sarmiento is Professor of Law at the University of Holguín (Cuba). She holds a master's degree in social sciences and axiology from the University of Holguín (2021) and a diploma in mediation and restorative justice from the Universidad Vizcaya de Las Américas (Mexico, 2021). She represents Cuba at the International Forum of Professional Mediators of the University of Seville and at the Community of Mediation and Restorative Justice Specialists CEMAJUR-KIDS. A researcher on issues related to the gender perspective in criminal law, sociocybernetics and mediation, she has published several works in journals and books.
Vilma Imilce Páez Pérez holds a PhD in Educational Sciences and is a full professor in the English Language Department and researcher at the Center for Culture and Identity Studies at the University of Holguín (Cuba). Her research interests focus on the training and professional development of foreign language teachers, the development of professional skills and the relationship between language-culture-identity. She is also interested in the situation of women in education and health, female leadership in higher education and the role of women in science. She is President of the Center for Canadian Studies at the University of Holguín. She works with Canadian academics on a number of exchange programs.
Yaquelin Cruz Palacios holds a degree in literature from the University of Oriente (Cuba). A specialist in Hispanic linguistics from the University of Havana, she holds a doctorate in pedagogical sciences and is a professor at the University of Holguín (Cuba), where she is currently Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Literature. Her research interests include vocabulary didactics, the competency-based approach and the teaching-learning of foreign languages (Spanish and French). In the field of gender studies, her most recent work focuses on linguistic sexism, professional gender identity, female leadership in higher education and the role of women in science, technology and innovation.
