Reflect.
Reflecting, thinking, reasoning, thinking.
Because when you see beautiful tools you probably say to yourself, "Okay, but is this backed up by research?"
Because you've probably already said to a colleague, "That's all well and good, but how are you going to put it into practice?"
Because you've probably already asked yourself, "Well, has anyone tried it to find out if it really works?"
Here's a book backed by current educational research and turnkey tools to support children's self-awareness.
Laurie Dubuc is earning her bachelor's degree in preschool and elementary education at the Université du Québec en Outaouais Saint-Jérôme campus. Graduating in 2019, she is interested in brain development and its involvement in a child's overall development. As a teacher, she values empathy, kindness and tolerance. She currently teaches in a school that promotes positive education and focuses on connection rather than reaction. She helped write the collective Portraits de femmes et d'hommes remarquables - éléments de culture générale and is the author of the book Développer l'intelligence émotionnelle et relationnelle : des outils pour accompagner les élèves. Her experience as an elementary school teacher has shown her the importance of prevention in sexuality education at the primary school level, particularly with younger children.
