As our school systems reinvent themselves to meet the many challenges of today's society, initial (and in-service) teacher training is tending towards greater hybridization. Facilitating distance and online training modalities, this growing use of digital technology is also taking place in practical training, i.e. in the accompaniment of teacher trainees.
For students on placement, the use of digital devices can prove beneficial to the development of their professional skills. As for the people who accompany them (those in teaching institutions or internship environments), whether they are present or at a distance, the mediatization of their practices opens up numerous pedagogical possibilities, but it also involves major issues (ethical, technological, organizational, etc.).
Bringing together researchers from Canada and Belgium, this book offers theoretical and practical reference points for those who use digital technology in a teacher training program, as well as for those who need to think about developing or redesigning a distance or hybrid support system for trainees.
Foreword by Glorya Pellerin and afterword by Marc Boutet.
