Co-development: Training and learning through collective intelligence

Co-development teams are made up of six to ten members who share three roles: "client", "facilitator" and "consultants". During the workshop, led by the facilitator, the consultants use their personal knowledge and experience to help the client resolve a project, problem or concern (PPP) that he or she has previously identified in relation to the course or training content.
Using co-development has advantages for both trainers and learners:

• It encourages the transfer of learning between theory and practice, since the help provided in solving a real-life case enables immediate application of the material taught.
• It enables participants to develop skills in listening, questioning and communication that are useful and transferable to their professional and personal lives.
• It meets the expectations of learners and the needs of trainers. Regardless of their age, learners often express the need to share their knowledge and experiences in a dynamic, participative and personalized way during classroom or organizational training. At the same time, trainers want to keep the attention of learners, who are often numerous and subject to multiple distractions (cell phones, computers, iPads, etc.). In this respect, the co-development workshop satisfies everyone.
