Designed to give project managers the financial valuation expertise they need, this handbook brilliantly combines investment and financing principles with cutting-edge models for dealing with uncertainty and appreciating managerial flexibility.
The book is distinguished by its skilful combination of theory and practical application, enlightening readers on cutting-edge methods for analyzing financial profitability criteria, and offering an in-depth understanding of the cash flows inherent in projects.
Faced with the risks that threaten the long-term viability of projects, the book carefully examines the dynamic between risk and return, the pillars of the investment decision. It discusses the multiple sources of financing in relation to project risks and their nature. In addition, it opens a window onto the world of real options, enabling us to assess flexibility in project management - an essential strategy for navigating the uncertainty that often characterizes projects.
The sequential approach of this manual facilitates a methodical integration of concepts, while allowing independent reading of the chapters, provided that an understanding of the previously introduced notions is present. This handbook proves to be a valuable and accessible resource for project management professionals at all levels, offering them the means to strengthen their competence in project financial evaluation.
