On the road to a happier life!
By following the steps of the Personal Goal Management program presented in this book, you'll be able to enjoy the many benefits of successfully pursuing your personal goals: building self-esteem, making effective use of your strengths and skills, improving your performance, increasing your well-being, but above all personal fulfillment and discovering meaning in your life. Science has shown that the pursuit of personal goals is an "active ingredient" in happiness. By learning this approach, you'll know how to proceed when faced with major life changes that require a reorientation of your personal goals, whatever your age or condition.
Workshops help you to identify meaningful personal projects that can lead to a happier, more fulfilling life. It's a personal process in which you take into account your interests, values and needs, in order to identify your dreams and transform them into precise, concrete goals. Then, once you've chosen a project, you'll learn how to plan its realization, while discovering techniques that will enable you to face obstacles and unforeseen events.
The Personal Goal Management program has been successfully used for over 30 years with a wide range of people: retirees, adults who have experienced divorce, women who have experienced violence, helping professionals, people losing their autonomy, and college and university students. The program can be offered to groups of 6 to 8 people, in sessions of 10 to 12 meetings, but it can also be self-administered or applied individually. Based on current scientific knowledge in psychology, this book is also accessible to the general public.
