Motor skills play an important role in early childhood. However, it is rare for professionals to propose activities in which children act with their whole body. This is the intention of this book, which proposes 10 sessions of bodily expression to encourage and stimulate the psychomotor development of children aged 2 to 6.
Based on a thematic story, and linked to the elements of nature, each session offers moving activities to be carried out with simple materials. These activities stimulate children's pleasure, imagination, creativity and commitment.
Accompanied by a caring adult, the child uses his or her body as a medium for multiple metamorphoses, where the imagination allows him or her to become, for a moment, a butterfly, a tree in the wind, or even lightning.
A list of accessories and musical suggestions is provided.
Numerous photos show the children in action.
An introductory section defines bodily expression and presents the specifics of the chosen pedagogical approach.
