Although each doctoral student has their own unique experience of the doctoral program, tied to the specific nature of their research topic, the practice of research provides them with a set of common skills that transcends the apparent differences stemming from their respective disciplines. Our doctoral training is grounded in a pedagogical approach that fosters reflexivity: the training sessions organized by ECOTIDI thus seek to develop doctoral students’ reflexivity regarding what is at stake in the thesis process, enabling them to grasp the skills they need to acquire and the autonomy they need to develop. Supporting doctoral students is a process in which research activities, knowledge, and individuals are closely intertwined. This handbook thus contributes, in its own way, to expanding knowledge in the field of education and research in the humanities.
