Construire l'avenir gives a voice to 14 Quebec entrepreneurs who tell us about their entrepreneurial adventure. As their stories unfold, we come to understand that the future is conjugated in the present tense, and comes down to a sum of small things that, when put together, make a difference that ultimately makes all the difference. Here, there are ideas and hard work, here friends and partners, and further afield we find determination and the desire to live a rich adventure to the full.

All the stories described in this book are unique and bear the signature of their entrepreneur. But beyond the differences between them, we find the same passion, the same breath of freedom, the same desire to take full advantage of what life has to offer. They all want to build their dreams, and they do so by relying on the strength of their analyses and the power of their emotions.

Of course, if the entrepreneurial adventure has an epic quality that makes you dream, it also has its pitfalls and challenges. The entrepreneurs who share their stories here make no secret of the difficulties they have had to overcome. As is so often the case, they had to find financing that is as scarce as ever, find partners in whom they could place their trust, and carve out a place for themselves in an increasingly competitive world. Above all, they had to meet the greatest challenge of all: believing in their idea, trusting each other and daring to take action.
