Pier-Pascale Boulanger holds a doctorate in translation studies and is a full professor in the Department of French Studies at Concordia University, where she has taught economic, legal and financial translation since 2005. Her academic research focuses on the ways in which journalists translate and popularize economics and finance for their target audiences in Canada. Prior to her academic career, she worked for ten years as a translator for a multinational insurance company.
