Marie-Ève Gingras
Marie-Ève Gingras has been a professor at Cégep de Sainte-Foy in the Social Work Techniques department for almost fifteen years. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees in social work from Université Laval, as well as a wide range of work experience as a social worker. She has worked in both institutional and community settings, where she has worked with a variety of clienteles: families, young people, women and victims of domestic violence, bereaved parents, people with mental health disorders, people with eating disorders, seniors and people in crisis situations. She has also held a variety of positions over the years, such as access rights manager, outreach worker, volunteer manager, community project manager, internship coordinator, internship supervisor and teacher. Through this experience, she has been made aware of the risks of the profession and the importance of knowing how to protect one's personal integrity as a caregiver. Today, she is particularly interested in the mental health of caregivers, particularly from the angle of the themes addressed in this book.
