Marybexy Calcerrada Gutiérrez holds a degree in psychology, a master's in gender studies and a doctorate in philosophy. She is a full professor at the University of Holguín (Cuba). She has coordinated projects and working groups in Cuba and internationally to address social equity and inequalities between different identity groups. She has authored and co-authored several articles in scientific journals and book chapters. She has served on the boards of scientific teams at various levels. She has also been an international consultant for the evaluation of violence against women and girls, and has conducted several studies on human behavior from a gender perspective.
