Elianis Páez Concepción is a Master's student in Hispanic Studies and a Spanish teacher at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. She holds a degree in English with French as a Second Foreign Language, and is a professor of English at the Language Center of the University of Holguín (Cuba). She is a member of the Canadian Studies Chair at the University of Holguín and of the organizing committee of the Conference on Foreign Languages, Communication and Culture (WEFLA) and the International Seminar on Canadian Studies (SECAN). She is also a member of organizations such as the Association of Cuban Pedagogues (APC), TESOL and AATSP. Her research interests include translatology, gender studies, language teaching and intercultural studies. She is a translator and interpreter.
