Here is an excerpt from the game. If the word “nephron” gives you a headache or makes your students’ blood pressure spike, this game is for you! Whether you’re a teacher or a student, playing *Néphromanie* will inject a healthy dose of fun into this often-unpopular topic—one that’s nonetheless fascinating and essential in the health sciences.
This game first helps players review the key concepts behind how the nephron works. Throughout the game, players will discover analogies that illustrate the anatomy and physiology of the nephron. Based on the concept of snakes-and-ladders games, this maze—which represents our renal system—has some surprises in store and is designed to keep players on the edge of their seats until the very end.
The game incorporates different types of questions and levels of knowledge to make it more versatile. It is designed for college and university students in the health sciences, covering both general and applied topics. A game is played with 2 to 5 players and lasts about 30 minutes. If the game is incorporated into classes, it is recommended to purchase multiple copies so that the entire class can play.
Ready to become nephro-maniacs?!
