Foreword by Jean-François Harvey
Louis Jacques FILION, a leading figure in entrepreneurship: «A fresh perspective for entrepreneurs. An inspiring book on doing business differently!».
Éric REMY, a socio-anthropologist specializing in consumer behavior: «A thought-provoking intersection between community- or tribe-based logic and entrepreneurial logic.».
Gaspard G., YouTuber and entrepreneur: «A breath of fresh air for startup founders.».
The internet is full of advice for aspiring entrepreneurs on how to create, develop, and foster a community around their startup project. However, a community cannot be imposed; it must be nurtured with its members, not for its members! Based on this observation, the book’s goal is to offer an alternative to these lists of tips by presenting an approach that fully integrates the community into the entrepreneurial process. The community is thus viewed as an essential component, not a secondary one. To achieve this and reap the benefits in terms of brand and market development, the book suggests following these five steps: 1) champion a cause and launch a movement; 2) recruit volunteers and organize their collaboration; 3) foster online and offline interaction; 4) develop rituals; 5) weave connection into the value proposition.
To contextualize this approach, numerous examples clarify the concepts involved.
The book concludes by highlighting the need for joint development of the community model and the business model.
