Why is it so difficult to rally the entire organizational community behind changes that affect structure, culture, and processes? What qualities must a leader possess to bring about these changes?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This book was born out of an effort to answer these questions. In fact, it builds on a course taught for several years at HEC Montr\u00e9al, \u00abPsychology and Leadership of Change,\u00bb whose theoretical foundations are those developed by Will McWhinney in his book *Paths of Change*. This book presents the essential elements of that course and aims to provide readers with practical ways to bring about transformational change, without necessarily describing the mechanisms in exhaustive detail. More specifically, it aims to offer guidance on how to influence people to engage in this type of change.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As someone who is called upon to implement change myself, I have drawn valuable insights from McWhinney\u2019s book that I use to influence people who are facing transformational changes within organizations.
