Van Hiep Nguyen
Mr. Nguyen is a mechanical engineer with a master's degree in applied sciences (industrial hygiene and safety from UQTR) and a master's degree in public administration. He has been conducting studies on air quality and industrial hygiene for over forty years, mainly in hospitals and other public establishments, as well as in industry. His fields of expertise mainly cover molds and bacteria, infection prevention in hospitals and various projects in the fields of asbestos, industrial hygiene and air quality. Formerly director of the Air Quality and Industrial Hygiene Department and a partner in exp. inc. Mr. Nguyen was previously a CNESST prevention inspector, a research engineer at IRSST and a design engineer for industrial dust collectors and filters at AAF. He was president of the Association pour la contamination de l'air et du sol (APCAS) and vice-president of the Air sector of Réseau environnement. He is also a lecturer in air quality at École Polytechnique de Montréal, in industrial health and safety at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and Université de Sherbrooke, and in indoor air quality at Dalhousie University. He recently received Réseau Environnement's "Michel Jourdain" award, presented to an individual who has distinguished himself through professionalism and performance in the field of air quality.
