After a career spanning about ten years in the private sector as an accountant or financial controller, Réal Petitclerc shifted his career focus to teaching. While still in the private sector, he specialized in accounting software training. Since 1989, he has been teaching at Cégep Limoilou, where he primarily teaches accounting and finance courses. Mr. Petitclerc is well known in the college community for his involvement since 2003 on the executive board of the APPAC (Professional Association of College Administration Professors), where he served as president from 2006 to 2017. He has also published books on accounting and finance, as well as three accounting simulations. All of these simulations have won awards in the Minister of Higher Education’s competition.
