Patrick Duffley is a full-time professor of linguistics at Laval University’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities. He has published extensively in the field of English semantics and is the author of the books *The English Infinitive*, *The English Gerund-Participle*, and *Sammy the Semanticist*. He currently lives in Sillery, Quebec.
