Parvin Movassat holds a doctorate from the Université de la Sorbonne (Paris, France) in the didactics of French as a foreign language. She is a professor of French as a second language at the University of Ottawa (Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute, OLBI). Her research interests focus on methodologies for teaching French as a second language, with a particular emphasis on the teaching of grammar.
