Jean-Marc Lavoie
Jean-Marc Lavoie holds a doctorate in exercise physiology from the University of Wisconsin. He has been a full professor in the Department of Kinesiology at the Université de Montréal since 1979. A seasoned researcher, he has published over 150 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. His research activities have contributed to the training of 23 doctoral students and 31 master's students in physical activity sciences. Professor Lavoie's field of study is the role of the liver in the regulation of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism at rest and in response to exercise.
