Jacques Roy
Jacques Roy is a full professor in the Operations and Logistics Management Department at HEC Montréal. He is also director of the Chaîne research group on supply chain integration, as well as director of Carrefour logistique, a forum bringing together senior industry executives and logistics specialists at HEC Montréal. He is a regular member of the Centre interuniversitaire de recherche sur les réseaux d'entreprise, la logistique et le transport (CIRRELT). Mr. Roy graduated from the Collège Militaire Royal de Saint-Jean with a Bachelor of Science degree. He continued his studies at HEC Montréal, from where he holds an MBA and a doctorate in administration. Before embarking on his academic career, he worked as an aerospace engineering officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. Dr. Roy has also served as Director of Management Training and Director of Research at the International Institute of Civil Aviation Management Training (IIFGA) in Montreal. Professor Roy has many years' experience as a logistics and transportation management consultant to major Canadian corporations and government departments, including Transport Canada, Industry Canada and the Ministère des Transports du Québec. He has directed numerous studies and authored some 100 books and articles on these subjects.
